Ms. Zhang Hanyu specialises in corporate, M&A, and private equity investment/venture capital.
Ms. Zhang has represented foreign and domestic venture capital funds, private equity funds and strategic investors in their investments in China spanning a wide area of sectors, including telecom/internet/information technology, media, culture and entertainment, consumer goods, health care, education and high-end manufacturing. She has also advised emerging and established growth companies on their PE financing, IPO, sale, acquisition, business structuring, and operation compliance. She has designed domestic and overseas management and employees stock ownership plans, follow-up investment plans, partnership structure, and option and trust plans for clients in different sectors, and assisted in the implementation of these plans.
Ms. Zhang was recognized as a Recommended Lawyer in Private Equity, and one of the Next Generation Lawyers in Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) in China by The Legal 500 in its 2019 Asia Pacific rankings.
Work Experience
Ms. Zhang joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2010 and before was an associate with a prestigious international law firm.
Ms. Zhang received her LL.B. degree from Renmin University of China and Juris Doctor degree from Chinese University of Hong Kong and was admitted as a Chinese lawyer in 2014.
Ms. Zhang's working languages are Chinese and English.
