Zhang Nei specialises in equity capital market matters, including NEEQ, domestic and overseas IPOs, investment and M&A, as well as corporate structure and governance.
Mr. Zhang has solid expertise and extensive experience in securities, M&A and restructuring, and corporate governance. He has led or advised on diverse projects involving restructuring, reform, domestic and overseas listings, and major asset restructuring. In addition, he has served as an external lawyer, providing full legal services for well-known investment institutions for their outbound investments and acquisitions across industries such as integrated circuits, biomedicine, new energy, automotive, Intelligent equipment, electronic information, materials, and software.
Mr. Zhang has been invited to participate in the legislative research and consultation for governmental guidance funds and cross-border investment regulatory documents.
Mr. Zhang has been awarded as one of the ALB China Top 15 Rising Stars by Asian Legal Business, a “Band 3 lawyer” in Corporate / Commercial: East Coast (Jiangsu) by Chambers Asia-Pacific, “Top Ten Outstanding Young Lawyers in Shanghai Pudong New Area”, and “Top Ten Young Lawyers in Jiangsu Province”.
Work experience
Mr. Zhang joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2023. Before that, he had served as a senior partner and head of the corporate securities department at a renowned law firm in China for several years.
Mr. Zhang obtained his LL.M and J.D. from the School of Law of Nanjing University.
Mr. Zhang is qualified to practise law in China.
His working languages are Chinese and English.
