Mr. Zhang Haojun specializes in dispute resolution, especially civil and commercial matters relating to banking & finance, trust & private equity, real estate, corporate and securities, as well as administrative and criminal disputes.
Mr. Zhang has acted as lead counsel in a number of high-profile and complex cases with a disputed amount of more than RMB 1 billion, accumulating a wealth of experience in planning, argumentation, strategy development and implementation. He advises banks and other financial institutions on civil and commercial disputes concerning investment, financing, disposal of non-performing assets, and post-investment risk management. In some matters, he provides advice in civil, criminal, regulatory and compliance aspects. Mr. Zhang has represented several national real estate companies in commercial, and sometimes also administrative, disputes and litigation relating to investment, M&A, joint investment and development of real estate projects, compensation for house dismantlement, construction projects. In addition, he also has experience in corporate litigation and mineral right disputes.
Mr. Zhang has briefed and argued dozens of second-instance and retrial cases before the Supreme People's Court and appeared before local courts in more than 30 provinces across China. He has strong problem solving ability and provides constructive and operable resolution to disputes.
Work Experience
Mr. Zhang joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2011.
He obtained his LL.B. and LL.M. in civil and commercial law from the School of Law, Jilin University, and also completed his LL.M. at Vanderbilt Law School.
He was admitted to practice law in PRC in 2012.
His working languages are Chinese and English.
