Mr. Wang Fuxiang specializes in bankruptcy reorganization, liquidation, overall analysis and debt planning of large enterprises and special situation investment.
As one of the lawyers who first advises on liquidation and debt restructuring, Mr. Wang has built up his reputation and awareness in this area. His clients include SOEs, joint-stock companies, foreign-invested enterprises and other organizations. He has acted as a co-administrator or a lead counsel in reorganization proceedings of more than 50 entities. Mr. Wang also has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration. The typical matters on which he has advised include the reorganization of Chong Qing Iron & Steel Limited, reorganization of Shenzhen Big World Mall Development Co., Ltd., reorganization of Tianjin-based Bohai Steel Group and bankruptcy liquidation of Southern Securities.
Mr. Wang is the President of Shenzhen Enterprise Bankruptcy Society and has been recognized by the world's renowned legal directory Chambers Asia Pacific Guide as one of Band 1 Leading Individuals in Bankruptcy and Reorganization for consecutive years and as one of the Senior Statesmen from 2015 to 2019.
Work experience
Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons in 2001, Mr. Wang served as a partner at Huabang Century Law Firm in Guangdong.
Mr. Wang received his Ph.D. degree from the Law School of Jilin University. He was admitted to practice the PRC law in 1988.
Mr. Wang has published a number of articles in well-known Chinese publications and attended the conferences on drafting of the new Enterprise Bankruptcy Law of the People's Republic of China.
