Areas of practice
Sun Mingfei's main practice areas are intellectual property and commercial dispute resolution, involving civil and administrative litigation in the fields of patents, trade secrets, trademarks, computer software, franchising, unfair competition, anti-monopoly and other intellectual property rights and competition area. Mr. Sun also provides clients with non-litigation legal services such as intellectual property management system construction, intellectual property transactions and financing. Mr. Sun's clients include many well-known companies at home and abroad, covering the area of Internet, electronics, communications, software, games and e-sports, information technology, semiconductors, real estate, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automobiles, food and beverage, theme parks, agriculture and forestry.
Mr. Sun has more than 25 years of legal professional experience and is familiar with the trial and enforcement rules of Chinese courts. He has engaged in the first instance, second instance, appeal review and retrial work, as well as the enforcement objection review, enforcement supervision and other enforcement work of various civil and commercial lawsuits, such as real estate development, construction projects, financial securities, company equity, merger and acquisition, intellectual property rights, etc.
Mr. Sun is good at managing complex and difficult intellectual property and commercial disputes, providing clients with rational and pragmatic solutions. Mr. Sun has participated in and represented a number of influential intellectual property cases in China. Mr. Sun was awarded the title of "China's Top 15 Intellectual Property Lawyers" by the Asian Law Journal for his outstanding practice and customer recognition.
Work experience
Sun Mingfei joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2011.
Mr. Sun graduated from Heilongjiang University School of Law in 1995, and then obtained a master degree of law at South China Normal University School. In 2006, He was selected by the Supreme People's Court to study at New York University under the Tsinghua-Tianpu Project.
Mr. Sun obtained the qualification of Chinese lawyer in 1995.
His working languages are Chinese and English.
