With extensive experience in patent invalidation and administrative litigation, as well as in patent and trade secret infringement cases and unfair competition, Mr. Liu offers a comprehensive range of services, including patent validity analysis, intellectual property litigation, and intellectual property due diligence.
With over 17 years of experience in the field, Mr. Liu excels at handling complex and challenging intellectual property cases. He has represented prominent companies in the telecommunications industry in standard-essential patent litigation and has managed patent disputes for leading firms in the internet and electronic information sectors. His expertise spans multiple high-tech industries, including telecommunications, electronic information, internet, renewable energy, and medical devices.
Several of the cases Mr. Liu has handled have been recognized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) as among the Top 10 Reexamination and Invalidation Cases of the Year.
Work experience
Mr. Liu joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, he had worked in the field of patent litigation for over ten years.
Mr. Liu received his Master’s degree in Communication and Information Systems from Beijing Jiaotong University.
Mr. Liu has been admitted to the PRC bar and the PRC patent bar.
Mr. Liu’s working languages are Chinese and English.
