Ms. Liu Jia specializes in merger and acquisition, private equity fund investment and capital market transactions.
Ms. Liu Jia represented private equity funds and corporations on a variety of M&A transactions and going-private transactions of China-based US-listed companies. Ms. Liu Jia has worked on various M&A transactions sponsored by TPG, including China Grand Auto Automotive Services Co., Ltd., PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional, United Test and Assembly Center Ltd.; Hony Capital's investment in Rongzhong Group; various leveraged financing by TPG with lead arrangers such as HSBC, DBS, Citi, etc. Ms. Liu Jia advised the special committee on the going-private transactions of Winner Medical Group Inc. and China GrenTech Corporation Limited.
Ms. Liu Jia advised corporate and investment banking institutions on equity and debt securities offerings, including private placements under Rule 144A and offshore offerings under Regulation S, SEC-registered offerings, liability management transactions and consent solicitation.
Work Experience
Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons in 2016, Ms. Liu Jia worked with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Hong Kong office from 2008.
Ms. Liu Jia graduated from New York University School of Law with a LL.M degree, and from Peking University School of Law with a Bachelor of Laws degree.
Ms. Liu Jia's working languages are Mandarin Chinese and English.
