Mr. Wizenfeld is a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group of the KWM New York office and has more than fifteen years of experience as a trial lawyer.  

Mr. Wizenfeld  has participated in all aspects of patent litigation in district court and the International Trade Commission, including multiple trials and appeals.  Mr. Wizenfeld also represents clients before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  His practice focuses primarily on the electrical and computer arts, and he has worked on cases involving diverse technologies including LEDs, semiconductors, computer networking devices, predistortion circuitry for use in optical transmitters, internet telephony, visual voicemail, and automated systems for trading securities for various clients.

Mr. Wizenfeld also advises clients on licensing matters and counsels clients with respect to evaluation of portfolio assets.

Representative matters include: 

• In re Certain Light-Emitting Diodes and Products Containing the Same, ITC Investigations 337-TA-784 and 337-TA-802. Represented OSRAM in multiple ITC investigations concerning light emitting diodes.

• Pfizer Inc. et al. v. Teva Pharms. USA, Inc., (E.D.Va.) Represented Teva in litigation and Federal Circuit appeal involving patent covering use of sildenafil.

• Fenner Investments, Ltd. v. Hewlett-Packard Co. et al., (E.D.Tex.) Represented Hewlett-Packard Co. in patent litigation involving network routers and switches.

• Chicago Board Options Exchange, Inc. v. International Securities Exchange, LLC (N.D.Ill.) Represented patentee in litigation and Federal Circuit appeal involving automated systems for trading options contracts.

• Optium Corp. v. Emcore Corp. et al. (W.D.Pa.) Represented Optium Corp. in patent litigation and Federal Circuit appeal involving optical transmitters.

• The Hertz Corp. et al. v. Enterprise Rent-A-Car Co. et al. (D.Mass.) Represented The Hertz Corporation in declaratory judgment action involving patent and antitrust issues relating to insurance replacement rental systems.

Work Experience

Mr. Wizenfeld joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2020.

Before joining King & Wood Mallesons, Mr. Wizenfeld was a senior counsel at Mishcon de Reya New York LLP, as well as an associate in Goodwin Procter's litigation department, where he represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex patent disputes.

Mr. Wizenfeld earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2004. Before law school, he earned his Bachelors degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Yeshiva University in 2001.

Mr. Wizenfeld has been licensed to practice law in the State of New York since 2005.  Mr. Wizenfeld is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Eastern District of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
