Ms. Zhao Fei has been focusing on cross-border financial dispute resolution for over two decades, with extensive experience advising on cross-border litigation and arbitration projects involving foreign banks and other onshore and offshore financial institutions.

Ms. Zhao has established long-term and good cooperation and service relations with dozens of banks and financial institutions at home and abroad, and has hosted or undertaken hundreds of financial cases in South China, especially in the Greater Bay Area. Ms. Zhao helps clients navigate various types of financial disputes, including but not limited to foreign debt disputes, cross-border guarantees, financial leasing, letters of credit, import and export invoice financing, various mortgages and pledges, accounts receivable pledges, factoring disputes, bills, syndicated loans, financial derivatives. Ms. Zhao specialises in cross-border financial disputes. The types of cases and the scope of services include but are not limited to:

  • Handled a number of syndicated loan cases, advised various types of financial disputes for multiple banks at the same time and helped clients recover their claims;
  • Represented clients in a number of cross-border guarantee cases and obtained judgments in favor of the clients without cross-border SAFE registration;
  • Presided a number of pre-litigation preservation, property preservation and arbitration preservation cases,  successfully seized and froze the debtors’ properties;
  • Hosted pre-litigation mediation judicial confirmation and litigation settlement cases, helped clients quickly and effectively confirm and recover their claims;
  • Handled special procedures such as cases of realisation of security interest, and advising clients on quickly confirming and recovering their claims;
  • Handled the registration of various rights such as the registration of accounts receivable pledges, the registration of movables and real estate mortgages, the registration of factoring, and cross-border SAFE registration;
  • Participated in the negotiation of financial restructuring projects, helped clients to formulate debt restructuring plans and achieve debt recovery;
  • Represented financial institutions to participate in bankruptcy liquidation procedures, personal bankruptcy procedures and cross-border bankruptcy cooperation, advised overseas clients on the review of their claims, bankruptcy pre-reorganization and reorganization procedures, and obtaining bankruptcy distributions;
  • Advised financial institutions on the transfer of creditor's rights, drafting transaction documents, witnessing and supervising the performance of contracts and debt recovery;
  • Handled the acquisition and disposal of domestic and foreign non-performing asset packages, and helped clients to recover their claims at a high proportion.
