Mr. Yu Rihong is a managing partner for litigation and dispute resolution at King & Wood Mallesons. With over 27 years' experience in litigation and arbitration, Mr. Yu's expertise covers real estate and construction projects, investments and M&A, corporate securities, mining and energy, as well as finance and insurance, with a particular focus on dispute resolution in investments and M&A deals in the mining and energy sector.

In the 27 years of legal service, Mr. Yu has worked on a large number of major complex projects, and accumulated extensive experience in forming and delivering persuasive arguments, which has won him a great deal of trust and acknowledgement from clients. He has advised on hundreds of major complex litigation and arbitration cases, including over 30 second instances and retrials of the Supreme Court, achieving positive outcomes for his clients. Many of Mr. Yu's cases have been reviewed or published in China Commercial Trials, a publication produced by the Supreme People's Court. A number of his cases have influenced or changed the countrywide courts' conventional views on litigation and dispute resolution proceedings. Mr.Yu has handled hundreds of cases involving criminal and civil issues, he studied and solved many complicated legal problems in judicial practice by formulating strategies for clients to promote each other in criminal, civil and administrative issues. He has saved billions of yuan of economic losses for clients and has been fully affirmed by clients.

Work experience

Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons in 2008, Yu Rihong was an editor and journalist at the Economics Department of China National Radio. Mr. Yu passed the PRC bar in 1992 and started practicing as a lawyer in 1996. Yu Rihong had previously worked as a partner and Vice Chairman at well-known Law Firm in Beijing.

Yu Rihong graduated from Jilin University College of Law with an LL.M.
