Mr. Xu is a partner of the Dispute Resolution and Litigation Group of King & Wood Mallesons, specializing in international arbitration and litigation.

Mr. Xu has extensive practical experience in handling cross-border commercial and civil disputes. Mr. Xu has successfully handled a number of complex cross-border disputes, assisting domestic clients in dealing with major disputes of overseas investments in Africa, Europe, and Australia. He has represented domestic and international companies in a large number of international arbitration and litigation cases before foreign courts, including institutional and ad hoc arbitration proceedings at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC), the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration (ICC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and other principal arbitration tribunals and lawsuits in Hong Kong, the U.S., and countries or areas. Mr. Xu handles cases covering a variety of sectors, including Sino-foreign joint ventures, investment, EPC contracts, sale of international goods and product liability. 

Mr. Xu's also represents hundreds of civil and commercial arbitration and litigation cases before major domestic arbitration institutions and domestic courts at various levels. These include arbitration cases at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC), as well as the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in domestic courts.

Furthermore, Mr. Xu serves as legal counsel for numerous multinational corporations, major SOEs and new financial enterprises and provides legal advice to them.

Work Experience

Mr. Xu joined KWM in 2007. He obtained his duo-bachelor's degree in law and English from Shandong University, and his MA degree in law from the University of International Business and Economics. He was seconded by KWM to 4 Pump Court, a leading law firm in London, for the training in dispute resolution techniques and skills in 2012.

Mr. Xu is proficient in Chinese and English.
