Mr. Kaiding Wang is a senior corporate partner at King & Wood Mallesons. Mr. Wang focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment in China, private equity transactions, corporate governance and general corporate law matters.

Mr. Wang was recognized by Chambers Asia Pacific Guide as one of China’s leading lawyers in Corporate/M&A category in 2012 and one of the leading individuals in Corporate/M&A category of Greater China Region in 2022 and 2023, by Legal 500 as one of the recommended lawyers and the leading individuals in Corporate/M&A category from 2017 through 2023, by Asian Legal Business as one of 2018 Choice-of-Client Top 20 Lawyers in China. One of the joint-venture deals led by Mr. Wang was ranked as the Deal of the Year by China Business Law Journal in 2012, and one outbound-investment deal led by Mr. Wang won this laurel again in 2016.

Mr. Wang teaches a course on M&A as an adjunct professor at School of Law, University of International Business & Economics ("UIBE"), School of Law, Tsinghua University and China University of Political Science and Law.

Mr. Wang has written books and articles on topics relating to mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and commercial transactions.

Work Experience

Mr. Wang joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2007.

Mr. Wang was a lecturer at UIBE School of Law from 1996 to 2010. Mr. Wang also worked as an international associate at United Technologies in Connecticut from 1998 to 1999 and as a visiting attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York in 2012.

Mr. Wang received a Bachelor of Economics degree from UIBE in 1993; an LL.M. degree from UIBE School of Law in 1996; an LL.M. degree from University of Connecticut School of Law in 1998; and a J.S.D. degree from UIBE School of Law in 2006.

Mr. Wang is an adjunct professor at UIBE School of Law, a trustee and the Secretary General of Shen & Feng Foundation and a member of the executive committee of the China Law Academy of Lawyers.

Mr. Wang’s working languages are Chinese and English.
