Ms. Su specializes in patent laws relating to mechanical matters.
She is experienced in the prosecution, invalidation and litigation of invention, utility model, and design applications/patents. Ms. Su has responded to the US 337 Investigations case representing domestic companies, and represented a number of renowned companies including Bose, Porsche SE,Bosch, Johnson & Johnson and GUCCI on their patent applications, IP assessment and analysis projects respectively. Ms. Su's services also include providing clearance opinions and patent strategy consultations for corporations, providing legal advice, and giving business training on corporate patents and related issues. She has represented clients from a range of sectors, including automobile, medical devices, textile machinery, wind power equipment, construction machinery, home appliances, consumer goods, luxury and IT facilities.
Ms. Su is one of the first high-level talents and among the national IP expert database elected by All-China Patent Agents Association (ACPAA), and a member of Patent Law Committee of Beijing Lawyers Association.
Work experience
Ms. Su joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2006. Prior to this, she was the deputy manager of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the China Patent Agent (Hong Kong) Ltd. Ms. Su was also a member of the research panel on "The Nature of Legal Procedures for Requesting Patent Invalidation Announcements."
Ms. Su obtained her B.Sc. at Tongji University and her M.Sc. at Tsinghua University.
Ms. Su was admitted as patent attorney in 1998 and as a Chinese lawyer in 1999. She is a member of the ACPAA Invention Panel and the Intellectual Property Litigation Panel, a training instructor of the All-China patent agents, and a member of the authors for patent agent training materials.
She is proficient in English, German, and Chinese.
