Ms. Song specializes in private equity, asset management, restructuring of non-performing assets, and mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Song is well experienced in the establishment, filing, investment, compliance, exit and liquidation of private equity funds and QFLP funds, and the registration of managers of and service providers for private equity funds.
Furthermore, Ms. Song has excellent and abundant experiences in the area of asset management. Her practice in the area of trust for more than ten years has covered a full range of product structures, transaction structures and investment targets. She is also well experienced in the asset management area conducted by securities companies and subsidies of public fund companies. Ms. Song has also sponsored a large number of projects in asset-backed securities, asset-backed notes (including overseas clients’ investment in ABNs through Bond Connect), transfer of credit assets and rights to earnings thereon through Yindeng Center.
Along with the changes in the market environment, in recent years, Ms. Song has also been deeply involved in non-performing asset restructuring business, providing financial institutions and the AMCs with legal services such as due diligence, design of restructuring schemes and drafting of transaction documents.
Work Experience
Ms. Song joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2019. Prior to joining the firm, she was a partner at an outstanding Chinese law firm and became a partner in 2017.
Ms. Song graduated from Wuhan University in 2003 and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law, and then graduated from Utrecht University with a Master’s degree in International Business Law in 2007.
Ms. Song qualified as a Chinese lawyer in 2009.
Ms. Song’s working languages are Mandarin and English.
