Mr. Li Zhenghao specializes in international trade law, commercial arbitration and litigation, regulatory compliance in the technology, media & telecommunications (TMT) and other sectors.
Mr. Li has extensive experience in the area of international trade law including World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlement, anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations. He has acted for the Chinese government in nearly 10 WTO disputes with major trading partners such as the United States and the European Union, and has managed to obtain satisfying results in many cases. He has also represented exporters from the United States, Australia and other countries in responding to multiple anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations. In addition, he has provided domestic and foreign clients with professional and practical legal advice on international trade related matters including import licenses, technology export, customs and foreign exchange.
In the field of commercial arbitration and litigation, Mr. Li has acted for some well-known manufacturers, investment institutions and other organizations before the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC) and safeguarded their important commercial interests. He has also represented renowned foreign companies and multinationals before Chinese courts in many commercial litigations including sales contract disputes, online contract disputes and personal injury disputes. He also advised foreign clients on Chinese litigation and arbitration matters.
Over the years, Mr. Li has also advised leading multinational companies in electronics, technology and internet sectors on a variety of Chinese legal and regulatory compliance matters, including TMT, consumer rights protection, commercial advertising and marketing, personal information protection and cybersecurity, and recall of consumer goods. He also assisted clients in responding to many administrative investigations by Chinese regulators. Based on his rich experience in Chinese law and regulatory matters, Mr. Li has provided clients with compliant and down-to-earth advice and solutions, helping clients realize their commercial objectives.
Mr. Li was recognized by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific as one of the Highly Recommended Individuals in WTO/International Trade in 2020.
Work Experience
Prior to joining the firm, he worked in an agency and had rich experience in the area of international trade and WTO.
Mr. Li graduated from the Sun Yat-sen University with a bachelor degree in law, and then from Renmin University of China with a master degree in law.
He was admitted to the Chinese bar in 2016.
His working languages are Chinese and English.
