Holly Blackwell specializes in international dispute resolution and compliance.   

Holly represents clients in disputes concerning their investments in China and internationally. Holly has lived and worked in China for ten years. She understands how Chinese companies operate and also understands the expectations of foreign courts, tribunals, and regulators. She leverages cross-cultural awareness to help clients succeed in their disputes in China and globally.

Holly has represented clients in disputes subject to arbitration under major arbitral rules including the rules of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration (ICC), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Shanghai International Arbitration Centre (SHIAC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). She often advises on complex disputes involving multiple parties, contracts, jurisdictions, and forums, and on US and cross-border litigation matters and the enforcement of arbitral awards in China and abroad. 

Holly also advises Chinese and multinational clients on their compliance with US international trade and investment laws, including economic sanctions and export controls laws, anti-bribery laws, and international integrity policies and related internal investigations. She helps clients navigate and manage risk in a rapidly changing regulatory environment. 

Holly is active in the Firm's international arbitration practice group. She is a member of the Firm's working group to develop, promote, and advance the Firm's global international arbitration practice. 

Work Experience

Holly joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2010. 

Holly received her Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law with honors in 2010, where she was a member of the Villanova Law Review. She received her Masters of Law degree in International Business Law from the National University of Singapore and her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Texas A&M University.   

Holly is licensed to practice in New York.
