Ms. Cui Wenying specializes in foreign direct investment, M&A, restructuring, intellectual property license and commercial compliance.

Ms. Cui is an experienced cross-border transaction attorney and has been advising Sino-Japan capital and technology-related transactions for over ten years. She has sophisticated knowledge on establishing foreign investment enterprises and conducting foreign acquisitions in China. In recent years, she has successfully assisted many Chinese enterprises to consummate several landmark M&A transactions in Japan. The clients she has advised cover a broad range of industries like solar power, materials, automobile, electronics, pharmaceuticals, media and animation. She provides full legal services in investment and M&A projects covering structuring design, legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents and closing.

Ms. Cui has broad practical experience in commercial compliance covering anti-bribery, competition and foreign currency regulations. By virtue of the her professional competence and quick perception of the trend of laws and policies, she has advised many foreign-invested enterprises on daily legal services from legal risk analysis to commercial arrangement and compliance issues, and contract review, etc.

Work Experience

Ms. Cui Wenying joined King and Wood Mallesons in 2010. Prior to that, Ms. Cui was an associate attorney with a law firm in Shanghai, and a leading law firm in Japan.

Ms. Cui received her LL.B. from China University of Political Science and Law, and obtained her master degree of law from Keio University in Japan.

Ms. Cui was admitted to the Chinese bar in 2004.

Ms. Cui's working languages are Chinese, Japanese, English and Korean.
