Mr. Chen Tianhua specializes in foreign direct investment and international trade.
He has a wealth of experience in FDI, having handled numerous corporate establishments, mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and dissolutions / liquidations. Mr. Chen is very familiar with every aspect of Sino-Japanese trade. He has extensive practical experience in currency regulations, import / export procedures, customs regulations and dispute resolution. He has handled projects in a range of industry sectors including, textiles, food, energy and resources, chemicals, electronics, machinery, logistics, finance and infrastructure, among others.
Work experience
Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons he worked for the China Reform and Development Research Institute and Japan's Toshiaki Hasegawa Law Firm. He has previously served as a consultant to Japan's Marubeni Corporation. He has also worked at Shengquan Law Firm in Inner Mongolia.
Mr. Chen received his Bachelor of Arts at Inner Mongolia Normal University. He then obtained an LL.M. and Ph.D. at Waseda University in Japan.
His working languages are Chinese, Japanese and Russian.
