Areas of Practice

Ms. Candy Chan's practice focuses on initial public offerings, corporate, securities and M&A transactions in Hong Kong and the PRC.  

Ms. Chan has advised various investment banks and companies on initial public offerings in Hong Kong, including state-owned enterprises and red-chip companies and related equity capital market transactions; listed companies in relation to compliance matters under the Hong Kong Listing Rules and the Securities and Futures Ordinance; cross-border mergers and acquisitions; takeovers; and general corporate matters. Many transactions that Ms. Chan has worked on have received international and regional "Deal of the Year" awards.

Work Experience

Ms. Chan was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2001.  Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons in March 2011, Ms. Chan practiced law for nearly 10 years with a leading international law firm and a leading Hong Kong law firm.  

Ms. Chan received her LL.B. from The University of Hong Kong and LL.B. in PRC Law from Tsinghua University, PRC. 

Ms. Chan is proficient in Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
