King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) is pleased to have advised Asia-Pacific Sustainable & Decarbonisation Infrastructure Equity, LP (a fund sponsored by Aravest and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) on its equity investment of up to USD 100 million in August Energy, a developer and long-term owner of energy infrastructure assets.
August Energy will use the capital to expand its operations and explore potential acquisitions across Southeast Asia and India, supporting its goal of becoming a leading Energy as a Service (EaaS) infrastructure platform in the region.
Singapore partners David Phua and Indraneil Ghosh led on the deal, supported by senior associate Philippa Robinson, associates Kenneth Koh and Lachlan Thomas-Walters well as legal executive Michelle Huang.
