Zoe Chung is an expert in State Taxes. Zoe’s state tax practice focuses on the Australia-wide stamp duty aspects of real estate acquisitions, project financing, infrastructure, corporate group and trust restructures, and business acquisitions. She also has land tax experience, with a focus on the impost of foreign surcharges and relief applications.
She regularly interacts with state revenue authorities in relation to assessments, private rulings, objections and in relation to policy and other legislative matters.
Prior to joining KWM, Zoe has previously been a partner at a ‘Big Four’ consulting firm and a tax specialist legal firm.
Her clients have included some of Australia’s largest corporate and trust groups, property developers, private equity and high wealth private families, and she is an active participant in a number of industry and professional bodies from a state taxation perspective.
