Areas of Practice
Mr. Zhang specializes in securitization and structure finance, PRC-related cross-border merger and acquisition (M&A) (inbound investment into China and outbound investment from China) and real estates.
With recent years' practice in asset-backed securitization, Mr. Zhang advises clients on a wide array of underlying assets including, account receivables settled with bank's trade finance products, negotiable instruments, supply-chain finance by reverse factoring, financial lease, charge right of infrastructure, REITs and CMBS.
Mr. Zhang also represents both domestic and foreign investors in PRC-related cross border transactions from 2008.
In the past practice, Mr. Zhang leads 5 securitization projects receiving high awards in the market. GF Asset Management-CMBC Anchi Huifu Securitization Project and Ping An Securities-Vanke Supply-chain Financing Securitization Project undertaken by Mr. Zhang have won the "Deal of Year" appraised by China Business Law Journal in 2015 and 2016, after that, Qianhai Settlement 2017 No. 1 Country Garden Supply-chain Financing ABN Securitization Project has won "Transaction of Year" appraised by China Securitization Forum 2018 Annual Awards.
Work Experience
Mr. Zhang joined King & Wood in 2018. Before that, Mr. Zhang worked in JunZeJun Law Offices and Sino-West Law Associates.
Mr. Zhang received his LL.B from Guangdong University of Finance & Economics, and then graduated from Sun Yat-sen University and received a master degree.
Mr. Zhang's working languages are English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
