Yiwen is a Special Counsel in the Mergers and Acquisitions team in our Sydney office, where he is well known in the market for providing practical advice, delivered with a broader regard for market practice and commercial imperatives.
Yiwen advises on complex funds regulatory, corporate governance, compliance and executive remuneration issues for local and foreign clients and also has extensive experience working on a range of high profile transactions.
Yiwen's work highlights include:
- Establishing and negotiating capital partnering arrangements for multiple land lease community asset acquisitions
- Advising on over 100 local and foreign employee incentive plans, including establishing one of Australia's largest employee incentive plans for an unlisted company
- Acting for numerous private funds and consortiums for private property, agriculture and infrastructure acquisitions
- Licensing and securities law advice for financial services companies
- Advising Boards on complex independence, corporate governance and executive remuneration issues
- Advising on the implementation of the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR), including joining a major financial institution on secondment to facilitate implementation of the FAR
