Jin specialises in cross M&As, foreign direct investment and projects.
In his more than 20 years’ legal career as transaction lawyers, Jin acts for a wide range of clients for their transactions and investments globally in many jurisdictions, covering private and public M&As, foreign direct investment, strategic alliance and joint ventures, and project investments. His sector exposure includes conventional and renewable energy, mining, infrastructure, agriculture, consumer and advanced manufacturing.
Playing lead counsel role in those transactions, Jin has earned great reputation for his sophisticated skills in handling English-Chinese documentation and assisting clients in bilingual negotiations in complex legal and commercial context. His key recognitions and rankings awarded by leading legal publications include:
· recognised by Chambers since 2013, including “Band 1 Lawyer in Corporate/M&A: Foreign legal Consultants –China” and “Band 3 Lawyer in Energy & Natural Resources -China” in 2021;

Work experience
Jin joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2011. Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons, Jin worked for well-known Australian law firms in their Melbourne offices and Beijing offices for many years.
Jin obtained his J.D. from the University of Melbourne, Australia and his LL.B. from Renmin University of China.
Jin is a native Chinese speaker and proficient in English.
