Mr. Wang Dong specialises in restructuring & insolvency, including bankruptcy reorganisation, out-of-court restructuring, reorganisation investment, and disposal of non-performing assets.

In the field of restructuring & insolvency, Mr. Wang has extensive experience in addressing debt crises of distressed enterprises, developing debt restructuring plans (overall debt, asset, business, and equity restructuring), communicating and negotiating with creditors, introducing investors, and reporting to the government and courts.

Mr. Wang has special expertise in debt restructuring and capital markets. He has worked on and participated in the debt restructuring projects of major corporations and domestic listed companies.

His work highlights include: 1) the reorganisation of 48 enterprises of Bohai Steel Group, recognised as one of the 2019 Top 10 Commercial Cases of Chinese Courts; 2) the reorganisation of 44 enterprises of Tewoo Group Co., Ltd., recognised as one of the 2020 Top 10 Commercial Cases of Chinese Courts; 3) the material merger and reorganisation of 7 enterprises of Tsinghua Unigroup, recognised as one of the 2022 Top 10 Cases for Promoting the Rule of Law in the New Era; 4) the reorganisation of 3 enterprises of Dongbei Special Steel Group; 5) the resolution of debt risks of China Fortune Land Development (600340); and 6) Ping An Life Insurance’s investment in the reorganisation of Founder Group.

Mr. Wang received his LL.B and LL.M from Renmin University of China.
