Areas of practice

Ms. Wang Hui specializes in corporate M&A, domestic and overseas listing and financing, fund formation and investment, and family wealth management, etc. 

In the field of listing, refinancing and M&A and restructuring, Ms. Wang has advised on tremendous domestic and overseas listings and M&A transactions of large and medium-size enterprises, involving energy, advanced manufacture, high-technology, supply chain, tourism, finance, commercial and other sectors. In 2016, Ms. Wang advised on the largest domestic A-share-related financing project, and in 2017, she advised on the largest domestic restructuring project at the value of around RMB1 trillion.

In the field of bonds offering and funds, Ms. Wang has advised a number of large enterprises and listed companies as a special legal counsel on offerings of short-term notes, super-short term notes, medium-term notes, private placement of corporate bonds, and offerings of subordinated debt, corporate bonds, convertible bonds and DFI, and shelf offerings of corporate bonds, etc. In addition, she has also been involved in the formation and investments of many industrial investment funds and government-led funds, and served as the special adviser of Asset Management Association of China.

In the field of family wealth management, Ms. Wang has advised actual controllers of family business, private banks, trust companies, listed companies, investment fund managers, insurance brokers, family offices and other actual controllers of relevant businesses, and institutions in connection with the overall planning of the legal structure of family business wealth management, the legal analysis of family trust innovative products, the legal solutions to charitable trust, review of family trust of domestic equity trust/usufruct trust, the succession of controlling stake in listed companies, etc. .Ms. Wang is now a lead partner of KWM's family wealth management practice.

Work experience

Ms. Wang Hui joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2008. Prior to this, Ms. Wang had been a partner of another law firm in Beijing .

Ms. Wang has successively served as the executive member of the Women Lawyers Committee of the All China Lawyers Association, the legal advisor of Shaanxi provincial government, an independent director of Western Securities Co., Ltd. and an independent director of Western Metal Material Co., Ltd. as well as a practical tutor for postgraduate students in Southwest University of Political Science and Law.

Ms. Wang received her LL.B. in 1991 and her LL.M. in 1998 from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law. Ms. Wang received the EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in 2013. Ms. Wang was admitted to practice law in the PRC in 1995.

Ms. Wang is proficient in Chinese and English.
