Ms. Tang Lizi specializes in corporate,securities,mergers and acquisitions,restructuring and family wealth management.
Ms. Tang has more than 30 years' experience in securities transactions. Ms. Tang is one of the earliest securities lawyers who participated in the practice of restructuring of Chinese enterprises and going public domestically and/or overseas. Ms. Tang has led the reorganization and restructuring of more than hundreds of enterprises and assisted initial public offering or additional issuances across the industries, such as energy, mining, transportation, machinery manufacturing, chemical engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, finance, insurance, High-Tech on the stock exchanges in mainland China, China Hong Kong SAR, New York (U.S.) or Singapore. Several projects in charged by Ms. Tang were awarded the 'Deal of the Year' by prestigious legal publications.
Ms. Tang has extensive experience in advising domestic and foreign listed companies on restructuring of substantial assets, mergers and acquisitions and reverse merger. Ms. Tang, who represents many listed companies, successfully completed several related projects. Among others, Ms. Tang advised a Chinese listed energy company in successful acquisition of 100% shares of an overseas listed offshore oil company by cash offer; advised a domestic listed mining company in successful acquisition of 100% shares of an Australia-listed coal mining company by its secondary subsidiary and the subsequent listing of the parent company by way of share exchange with another Australia-listed coal mining company.
Ms. Tang also has considerable experience in funds, asset securitization and structured finance.
Ms. Tang Lizi has been ranked as the leading individual in capital markets by Chambers & Partners Legal 500 and Asialaw Profiles for several years. In 2017, Ms. Tang was named one of the China Top Female Lawyers by Asian Legal Business.
Work Experience
Ms. Tang joined King & Wood Mallesons in 1996. Prior to that, she worked at the China University of Political Science and Law, the law school of University of International Business and Economics, a domestic consultancy firm and a domestic law firm.
Ms. Tang obtained her LL.B. from the East China University of Political Science and Law and her LL.M. and Doctorate degrees from the University of International Business and Economics.
Ms. Tang's working languages are Chinese and English.
