Mr. Sun specializes in financial compliance, project finance, acquisition finance, ship finance, factoring, syndicated loan, finance lease, cross-border finance and structured finance.
In the area of financial compliance, Mr. Sun provides compliance advice and issues legal opinion for the banks, trust companies, financial leasing companies and the enterprises that need the financial services, and assists them in communicating with the regulatory bodies.
In the area of project finance, Mr. Sun's practice covers the domestic project finance, the offshore project finance under the "GoGlobal" and "The Belt and Road Initiative", with the industries of thermal power, hydropower, photovoltaics, new energy, paper pulp, ferronickel, stainless steel and coal.
In the area of acquisition finance, Mr. Sun's practice covers the assets acquisition finance and equity acquisition finance. In 2015, Mr. Sun assisted a PRC bank in financing a PRC company's acquisition in Malaysia, which was the largest acquisition finance of that year in Malaysia.
Mr. Sun is skilled in advising the design and perfection of the financing structure, and can accommodate different financing needs via factoring, syndicated loan, finance lease, cross-border finance, structured finance and other modes of financing.
Work Experience
Mr. Sun joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2010.
Mr. Sun earned his LLB and LLM at Southwest University of Political Science & Law, and earned his LLB (second degree) at Sichuan International Studies University.
Mr Sun's working languages are Mandarin and English.
