Ms. Lu Qing specializes in trademark, domain name, and copyright protection. Her practice areas include trademark design, strategic planning, trademark prosecution, trademark search / inquiry / trademark monitoring, licensing and assignment, opposition and dispute, investigation on infringement, and enforcement. In addition, she is also familiar with domain name and copyright registration, and protection matters.
She has gained extensive experience in intellectual property law, particularly in the area of trademark protection. Her work experience both in China and overseas has given her an in-depth understanding with international perspective of Chinese and commonwealth practice with respect to trademark protection and portfolio management.
Work experience
Ms. Lu Qing joined King & Wood Mallesons in 1993. Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons, she had worked as a trademark agent at the Patent and Trademark Law Office of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade since 1986. She spent a number of years in New Zealand gaining experience at the Patent Office of New Zealand, and one of the largest intellectual property law firms in New Zealand.
She obtained her LL.B. from Peking University Law School and her LL.M. with honors in intellectual property from the Victoria University of Wellington Law School.
Ms. Lu was admitted as attorney-at-law in 1993 and as a trademark attorney in 1997.
Ms. Lu is proficient in English and Chinese.
