Ms. Liu Ying, partner of the IP Litigation Group specializes in IP and commercial litigation and arbitration. She has extensive practical experience in handling litigation and arbitration cases related to international trade, construction, equity, financial leasing, unfair competition, copyright, and financial derivatives.
She has represented many domestic and foreign companies in hundreds of litigation cases before the PRC courts at all levels, and arbitration proceedings before the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the Beijing Arbitration Commission, and the International Court of Arbitration of ICC. She also represented many SOEs, banks and multinationals in pre-litigation mediation of disputes, including contractual disputes in international trade, international construction projects, financial derivatives, equity transfer, technology development, financial leasing, publication, and tort disputes, and recognition and enforcement of a foreign arbitration award.
Having long focused on laws and regulations in sport and entertainment industries, Ms. Liu has handled various disputes and has amassed rich experience in resolution and risk prevention and control of such disputes.
In addition, Ms. Liu serves as legal counsel for various financial institutions, SOEs, research institutions and universities, publishers and media companies, private enterprises and organizing committees for major sport events.
Work Experience
Ms. Liu Ying joined KWM in 2007. Prior to that, she worked for a renowned PRC law firm.
Ms. Liu obtained her LLB from China University of Political Science and Law. She obtained her license to practice PRC law in 2008.
Ms. Liu's working languages are Chinese and English.
