Ike Kutlaca is a Partner in the KWM Hong Kong Corporate & Securities practice group.
He specialises in executing significant multi-jurisdictional transactions (with a focus on M&A) and advising boards, shareholders and senior management on key strategic and operational decisions.
Ike has a broad range of experience across various sectors, jurisdictions and transaction sizes. His experience includes:
- Advising on the sale, purchase or restructure of dozens of businesses and properties in Hong Kong
- Acquiring various mines in Africa and Australia
- Selling hotels in Beijing
- Acquiring container ships in Germany
- Global restructures of French medical groups and Asian financial services companies
- Port and rail projects in Africa and Australia
- Selling various telecommunications networks in Australia
- Consortium acquisition of a Korean industrial gas producer
- Acquisition and integration of various regional logistics companies
- Numerous FinTech acquisitions, disposals and restructures
- Acquisition of APAC engineering firm
- Various regional joint ventures including Greater China / USA logistics, Philippine FMCGs and regional retail and cosmetics distribution
Additionally, Ike has a particular interest in education, and has also acted for many of Hong Kong’s leading international schools, school operators and school sponsoring bodies.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Accounting), a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and a Master of Laws with High Distinction (Corporate & Commercial Law) (graduating First in Class).
