Qian Hu specializes in Capital Market and Cross-border Mergers & Acquisitions.

Ms. Hu Qian has extensive experience in public and private inbound and outbound mergers & acquisitions, financing activities and listing matters.  Her practice area covers securities, pharmaceutical, energy, tourist and manufacturing industries, includes advising the largest asset management financial institution in China. 

Ms. Hu Qian was leading in providing legal services for many domestic companies seeking project finance, VC investment, Strategic Investment, bridge loan and mergers and acquisitions overseas. She was involved in advising companies regarding the legal structure; negotiating and preparing relevant legal documents, filings and drafting prospectus, and applying for the listing on behalf of issuers.

Ms. Hu has represented over 20 issuers in their public offerings and private placements of equity, reverse merger, debt and convertible securities, and other cross-border transactions. Her major projects experience includes advising Advanced Battery Inc. in a class action for US $20 million at New York Southern District Court, advising China Huarong Asset Management Co. Ltd on IPO in HKFE, negotiation for CDH Investments in acquisition of 20% shares of Eastern Dragon Project from Eldorado Gold Corporation.

Work Experience

Qian Hu joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2014.

Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons, Ms. Hu worked in a prestigious law firm at New York in the United States.

Ms. Hu received a J.D. (Juris Doctor) from University of Alabama School of Law, and an LL.M. (Master of Laws) from Vanderbilt School of Law. Prior to that, she obtained an LL.M from China University of Political Science and Law, and LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from Zhongshan University.

Ms. Hu has been qualified to practice law in China in 1999, and she has been qualified to practice law in the State of New York in the United States since 2008.
