Godfrey is a Counsel in the Hong Kong office of King & Wood Mallesons, with a focus on disputes concerning construction and engineering projects. Possessing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Godfrey is quick to grasp technical aspects of complex projects, enabling him to deliver prudent and commercial legal advice. Godfrey has extensive experience advising on the full life cycle of a project, from pre-tender to post completion, for projects in locations such as Australia, Hong Kong SAR, Macau, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom.
Godfrey is qualified to practise in Hong Kong SAR. He received his degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Sheffield, his Graduate Diploma in Law from The University of Law in the UK, and completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Law in the City University of Hong Kong.

- Acting for Metta Resources Ltd in High Court proceedings against Chun Wo Building Construction Ltd, one of the largest construction litigations to be brought to the High Court of Hong Kong.
- Acting for Build King Construction Limited in the Court of Final Appeal case Re Hsin Chong Construction Co. Ltd [2021] HKCFA 14, concerning the insolvency of Hsin Chong Construction Co. Ltd.
- Advising a multinational main contractor in respect of its strategy to pursue claims under an EPC contract concerning the construction of a state of the art offshore LNG facility off the coast of Western Australia.
- Acting for a main contractor in an LCIA arbitration in respect of design and delay issues arising out of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of an offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom.
- Acting for a major statutory body in respect of a two-week mediation with its main contractor concerning disputes arising out of a major public infrastructure project.
- Advising the owner of a wind farm array off the coast of the Philippines in respect of the rectification of defects in turbine blades.
- Advising a multinational main contractor in respect of issues arising from a JV that was formed for the purpose of constructing a public project in Hong Kong.
- Drafting, reviewing and advising an employer in respect of an EPC contract for an LNG project in Panama.
- Drafting, revising and advising construction industry documents, including JVAs, pre-bid agreements and construction contracts in general.
