Fu Haiying specialises in intellectual property.
His practice covers trademark, copyright, competition, domain name matters, and customs protection of IP rights. Mr. Fu's legal services include advising on IP protection strategies, arranging IP infringement investigations, handling cases of trademark infringement, copyright infringement, unfair competition and domain name disputes, dealing with trademark applications, assignments, licensing, renewals and amendments, filing and responding to opposition and cancellation proceedings, copyright registrations, IP rights customs recordation, and domain name registration.
Mr. Fu has extensive experience in IP enforcement and competition, especially in trademark and copyright enforcement. He has represented many multinational companies in protecting their trademark rights and copyrights in China. He has handled many infringement and competition cases for domestic and international clients through administrative actions or litigations.
Work experience
Mr. Fu Haiying joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2003. Prior to which he worked as a trademark attorney. In 1994, he became the manager of the IP Protection Department of China Sinda Intellectual Property Ltd.
He received his Bachelor's degree from Peking University and his LL.M. degree from the China University of Law and Political Science. Mr. Fu was admitted as a trademark attorney in 1995 and as an attorney-at-law in 2005.
He is proficient in Chinese and English.
