Matthew Swinn is a recognised IP litigation specialist with a wealth of experience in the manufacturing, life sciences and consumer sectors among others.
Matt specialises in intellectual property disputes including contentious patent, trade mark, confidential information and consumer protection/passing-off matters.
Matt has litigated complex IP disputes in Australia and New Zealand at both trial and appellate level and is recognised as a leading lawyer by the major directories including Chambers (Band 1 – Patents) and Asia-Pacific Legal 500 (Hall of Fame – Intellectual Property). His clients include Biogen, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial research Organisation (CSIRO), Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Samsung Bioepis, Servier Laboratories and Bristol Myers Squibb.
Matthew is the current President of the Australian Committee for the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and is also an active member and former Chair of the Law Council of Australia's Intellectual Property Committee.
