Kai Sun specializes in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions, with extensive experience representing both issuers and underwriters in a wide range of transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), follow-on equity offerings and debt offerings. He also regularly advises on public takeovers and private acquisitions, going-private transactions, joint ventures, minority investments and dispositions, as well as compliance-related matters for listed companies and corporate governance issues.
Prior to joining KWM, Kai worked as a partner at a top tier US international law firm. He previously honed his expertise at two other leading international law firms.
Kai is qualified in Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford and obtained his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) from the University of Hong Kong.
Kai speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English and is proficient in negotiating and drafting legal documents in Chinese and English.
