Areas of practice
Mr. Zeng is involved in a wide range of practice areas including: foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, technology transfers, and the cross-border sale of goods - especially large-scale equipment.
Over the years, he has provided counsel for a number of high-profile domestic and international clients. He has represented clients in the manufacturing, petrochemicals, foodstuffs, infrastructure, futures, hotel management, real properties, mineral resources, clean energy industries among others. Mr. Zeng's roles in these projects include: project structuring, business negotiations, the drafting of documentation, conducting due diligence and liaising with government agencies in relation to obtaining government approvals and consent.
Work experience
Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons, Mr. Zeng was the China Consultant of a well-known Australian law firm's Melbourne office, an articled clerk of an Australian law firm' s Melbourne office, a solicitor at Minter Ellison Lawyers Melbourne office, and Corporate Counsel to Guangdong Nortel Telecommunication Equipment Co Ltd.
He received his B.A. from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 1983, a Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law from Monash University in 1987, and his LL.B. from the University of Melbourne in 1992.
Mr. Zeng is proficient in English and Mandarin.
