Hannah specialises in commercial dispute resolution, including class actions. She has experience working on significant and complex matters for the Commonwealth and private clients. She also practices in the area of regulatory investigations and commissions, including Royal Commissions.
Hannah has highly specialised experience acting for the Commonwealth on complex procurements and contract management disputes. This experience ranges from front-end work on preparing requests for tender and contract negotiations, through to advising on large-scale contract change proposals and terminations of contracts.
Hannah’s recent matters include:
- PFAS Class Action: core team member acting for the Commonwealth to defend the Haswell multi-site class action in relation to alleged environmental contamination. Also advising on related non-litigated claims.
- Gladstone Ports Corporation Class Action: acting for GPC in defending a class action involving alleged environmental impacts.
- Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide: part of the core team of solicitors assisting the Commission.
- Robodebt Royal Commission: advising clients in relation to responding to compulsory notices, appearing at hearings and preparing submissions in relation to potential adverse findings.
- National Anti-Corruption Commission Investigation: representing a witness examined by the Commission in a confidential investigation.
- Procurement Disputes: working on major projects and providing strategic legal advice on contract disputes, including contract interpretation, contract management, liabilities, intellectual property and export controls.
- Confidential Regulatory Investigation: acting for a private company in relation to an investigation by an industry body.
- Major Financial Institution: assisting in responding to notices issued by ASIC for the provision of information, production of documents and examination.
- Reinsurance Clients: acting for reinsurers on a professional indemnity claim resulting from a contract for the supply of military vessels.
