Mr. Gu mainly engages in civil and commercial cases and non-litigation cases, especially in construction engineering, real estate contract disputes, company incorporation, merger, equity transfer and other legal issues closely related to the company law.

Mr. Gu has represented many well-known enterprises in Jiangsu Province in more than 100 cases before Jiangsu Higher People's Court, Suzhou Intermediate People's Court, Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and other institutions, responsible for the drafting, planning and implementation of case schemes. He has a profound knowledge of the mind-set and operations of arbitration institutions. Mr. Gu has advised large and medium-sized SOEs, listed companies, real estate developers, and large construction corporations on construction engineering, real estate development and sales, company dissolution, equity transfer, enforcement objection and other disputes. He is capable of providing constructive and feasible dispute solutions in a timely and effective way. Meanwhile, he acted for a number of government administrations before courts to respond to lawsuits involving administrative confirmation, administrative agreement, administrative punishment, etc., and won the cases.

Mr. Gu is now an arbitrator of Suzhou Arbitration Commission and Changzhou Arbitration Commission. He was recognized as an Outstanding Party Member of Jiangsu Lawyers Profession in 2018.

Work Experience

Mr. Gu joined KWM in 2020, and before that, Mr . Gu is a partner of Jiangsu Jianwen Law Firm and served as its director.

He graduated from Suzhou University with a bachelor's degree in law in 2001 and a master's degree in international economic law in 2004. In 2008, he received a short training in Shanghai Jiao Tong University and was certified as a venture capitalist. In 2005, he was admitted to practice in China.
