Mr. Chen specializes in structured finance, securitization, asset management, Fin-tech, and private funds.
In the area of securitization, Mr. Chen has been in charge of various securitization transactions with financial underlying assets (including but not limited to bank credit, trust beneficiary rights, auto finance, finance companies, financial leasing, consumer finance, and more) and also securitization transactions with non-financial underlying assets (including but not limited to CMBS, REITs, supply-chain, property management fees, house-purchase final payment, financial leasing, micro-loans, charging rights, bills, intellectual property rights) issued in the interbank market, stock exchanges and other trading markets, many of which are the first transactions in the industry or of innovative significance.
In the area of Fin-tech, Mr. Chen has advised various Fin-tech companies including Ant Financial, LU.com and Duxiaoman Finance in a variety of projects, and has represented a number of private equity investment funds including Sequoia Capital and Kinzon Capital in equity investments in Fin-tech areas, and has assisted various leading enterprises including Suning, Haier and Greenland in their transformation from traditional industries to internet finance businesses. Mr. Chen has also provided legal services for the construction of comprehensive supply-chain online financing platforms for traditional supply-chain enterprises.
In the area of asset management, Mr. Chen has substantial experience in providing legal services for enterprises such as advising trust companies and asset management companies in trust schemes/asset management schemes investments. Mr. Chen has provided legal services for a number of private funds in establishment and investments of real estate or account receivables private funds. Mr. Chen has also advised a number of enterprises in dispute resolutions in the area of asset management.
Mr. Chen is the author of "Visual Securitization: Key Points and Issues in Legal Practice" (Law Press, 2017).
Work Experience
Mr. Chen joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2012. Mr.Chen obtained his legal practice certificate in China in 2014.
Mr. Chen received his LLB from East China University of Political Science in 2012.
