Caitlin is a disputes and litigation lawyer who practices in class actions and large scale commercial litigation, royal commissions & public inquiries, regulatory investigations, common law claims and administrative law claims. Caitlin has represented Commonwealth and private clients in a variety of jurisdictions, including the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Federal and Supreme Courts.
Caitlin has previously been employed by the Department of Home Affairs and has previously completed a secondment with the Department of Defence. These experiences have allowed her to develop insight into the unique operating environments effecting Commonwealth clients.
Caitlin’s experience includes:
- Royal Commissions: acting as a Solicitor Assisting the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide and advising individuals in relation to the Robodebt Royal Commission.
- Class Actions: advising the Commonwealth and private industry clients in relation to large-scale class action proceedings involving environmental contamination claims.
- Common Law and Civil Litigation: acting for Commonwealth and provide industry clients in a range of litigated and non-litigated claims, including in relation to public liability, personal injury, negligent misrepresentation, historical abuse and environmental negligence and nuisance.
- Administrative Law: advising the Commonwealth in relation to AAT administrative decision-making challenges.
- Regulatory Investigations: conducting and advising on investigations commenced under the Public Interest Disclosure Act.
