Jingjing Jiang, partner of King & Wood Mallesons' Hong Kong office, is among the select group of 40 young lawyers included in the Asian Legal Business' (ALB) 2017 "40 under 40" list of most outstanding legal professionals in the Asia Pacific region (excluding Australia and Mainland China). The editorial highlighted his strong entrepreneurial mind and strong commercial sense of clients' needs and market demands.
Jingjing Jiang, who was promoted to partner in December 2016, specializes in acting for international fund managers setting up international funds. He was involved in such significant fund closings as Equis' US$2.3 billion Equis Asia Fund II, Equis Direct Investment Fund and Japan Solar Fund and the €3.3 billion Triton Fund IV. He has also played a key role in growing the firm's International Funds practice, particularly in connection with China. He has acted for China's SOEs, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors to set up or invest in numerous international funds with a total volume of over US$5 billion. In the past year, he assisted China Resources Enterprise on the creation of its first global consumer fund with a target size of US$1.0 billion, and a China's state-owned energy conglomerate on the establishment of its first European renewable energy fund with a target size of €1.0 billion.

The ALB 40 under 40 list selects lawyers in Asia Pacific who have worked on significant deals and disputes in the past year and have earned accolades from their peers, superiors and clients. Jingjing Jiang is the third young partner of King & Wood Mallesons who has been included in the list. The other two are Guo Sun Lee and Hao Zhou who were listed in ALB's inaugural 40 Under 40 survey in 2015.
