King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) advised Chinasoft International Limited (Chinasoft, SEHK Stock Code: 354) on its placing of 162,000,000 new shares, raising a gross proceed of approximately HK$1.99 billion. UBS AG Hong Kong Branch was the sole placing agent.
Chinasoft is a large-scale comprehensive software and information service provider, providing "end-to-end" information technology services to global customers, in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, internet of things, blockchain, 5G and other new technologies.
KWM acted for Chinasoft in respect of Hong Kong law. The team was led by partner Sheldon Tse with support from counsel Sheryl Cheung.
