KWM is pleased to have advised Ocean Park Corporation (“OPC”) on its successful procurement for the development and operation of the Adventure Zone PPP Project, a new adventure-themed zone located in the ocean-facing upper section of Ocean Park Hong Kong. The project was awarded to Shun Tak AJ Hackett Skypark Holdings Limited, a consortium formed between Shun Tak Holdings Limited (HKSE 242) and the AJ Hackett International Group.
The Adventure Zone is a key element of Ocean Park’s 2021 Future Strategy, featuring duo bungee jumping and duo swing attractions, outdoor parks, and rock-climbing walls. Work related to the project is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024, with completion and opening targeted for mid-2028.
A cross-departmental team worked closely on this project. Hong Kong Head of Projects Sam Farrands, with support from Senior Associate Tian Xu and Associate Chris Cheng, advised OPC on procurement strategy and process, in addition to preparation, review and finalisation of project documentation. Hong Kong Partner Siu-Ngor Chow, with support from Associate Winnie Cheng, advised OPC on project conveyancing and land-related issues.
Any reference to "Hong Kong" or "Hong Kong SAR" shall be construed as a reference to "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China".
