Helena Huang receives 2019 ALB China Top 15 Female Lawyers recognition

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) is delighted to announce that Helena Huang has been named as one of ALB China's Top 15 Female Lawyers in 2019 for her role in executing the firm's growth strategy in Hong Kong* and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as her work in cross-border M&A, private equity investments and fund formation, and corporate restructuring. The ALB China Top 15 Female Lawyers highlights outstanding female legal professionals based on their years of experience, major achievements, significant transactions and matters.

Helena has over 25 years of legal experience in the Beijing, New York and Hong Kong offices at leading U.S. firms, with particular focus on cross-border M&A, PE investment transactions, onshore and offshore private equity fund formation, and corporate restructurings. In 2019, Helena was appointed Co-Chief Executive of KWM Hong Kong, co-managing the office alongside Hayden Flinn. She is also part of the senior executive team in leading and developing the efforts in the GBA through the KWM International Center, which provides an integrated platform to service our clients doing business in the region.

Over the years, Helena had led a number of high-profile and ground-breaking deals, including her recent representations of CMC Inc.'s approximately RMB10 billion financing, which was shortlisted as a finalist in Innovation in Corporate & Commercial Law by Financial Times Asia Pacific Innovative Lawyers 2016 Awards; and China Development Bank Capital to co-sponsor with a Middle-East sovereign wealth fund on the formation of a Cayman PE fund with a total commitment of USD10 billion. Helena is also recognised for her work in the cross-border investments and restructuring space, where she was awarded "Best in Insolvency & Restructuring" award by Euromoney LMG Asia Women Business Law Awards in 2013 and 2015 for her leading roles in the cross-border restructuring of Sino-Forest and Wuxi Suntech.
