Areas of Practice 

Mr. Cao Yuhui has more than 20 years of practice experience in areas including private equity financing, domestic and foreign listings, red chip enterprises' return to domestic capital markets, domestic and foreign mergers and acquisitions, foreign-related arbitration, and corporate compliance. 

Mr. Cao has led a number of influential projects, including A-share IPOs, H-share IPOs, restructuring, financing and listings of overseas red-chip enterprises, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and acquisition of listed companies, domestic and overseas bond issuance and refinancing, and fund establishment and investment in sectors such as infrastructure, real estate, TMT, manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, food, retail, service and culture.

Mr. Cao has completed some well-recognized M&A projects such as the restructuring of Dahuanong by Wen's Foodstuffs Group Co., Ltd., and the restructuring of Shengrun shares by Fawer Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. In addition, he has completed many IPO projects of dozens of domestic companies including Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway, Foxconn Industrial Internet, Guangzhou Port, Shangpinzhaipei, and Annil. He has also advised many companies such as Fantasia, Rongxing Group, Colour Life Service Group, Zhongzhi Pharmaceutical Group, and Chengdu Expressway on their overseas IPOs. In PE financing, Mr. Cao's representative projects include Tencent's first PE fundraising. 

Mr. Cao was listed as one of the best capital market lawyers by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific in 2005 and 2006. Furthermore, he was also recognized as one of the "TOP 25 issuer lawyers in the A-share IPO market" in 2011 and one of the "Top 10 A-share M&A lawyers" in 2014 by New Fortune.

Work Experience

Mr. Cao Yuhui joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2007. Before joining KWM, he was a partner at China Commercial Law Firm, and an associate at Linklaters and Jing Tian Law Firm.

Mr. Cao obtained his B.A. and M.A. degrees in English Language and Literature from Central South University. He later studied at the University of London at the School of Oriental and African Studies on a Lord Chancellor's Young Lawyers' Training Scheme. He was admitted to practice law in the PRC in 1995.

Mr. Cao's working languages are Chinese, English, and Japanese.
