Areas of practice
Ms. Song Yanyan's main areas of practice are corporate affairs, securities and mergers and acquisitions.
In the area of securities, she has handled numerous listings and securities offerings for large-scale private and state-owned companies on domestic and foreign markets. She has represented clients in various industries including energy, iron and steel, real estate, machinery and equipment, pharmaceuticals, textiles, food and beverages, commodities, internet services and software. Ms. Song has also handled many M&A projects, both domestic and cross-border, for listed companies and large-scale enterprises. In addition, she has extensive experience in private placements, venture capital and 'red chip' overseas listings for domestic companies.
Ms. Song has acted for many companies as corporate counsel, with responsibility for all legal aspects pertaining to day-to-day business operations.
In 2015, Ms. Song Yanyan has been named as one of the highly recommended lawyers in the field of corporate and M&A in China by Legal 500 in its 2016 Asia Pacific rankings.
Work experience
Song Yanyan joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2001.
She graduated from the University of International Business and Economics with both an LL.B. and LL.M.And she has also gained her LLM qualification from the University of California, Berkeley.
