Areas of Practice
Mr. Chow holds extensive experience in conveyancing and probate practice, representing real estate developers in residential and commercial project conveyancing, and public bodies in the sale and acquisition of units and resumption of land. He also represents overseas real estate developers in the sale of overseas properties in Hong Kong.
His other areas of practical experience include applications for modification of government lease terms, non-project residential and commercial conveyancing, all kinds of leases and tenancy agreements, corporate finance and loan documentation for banking and financial institution clients, certificates of title as part of the due diligence process for acquisition or merger purposes and the acquisition of shares. Mr. Chow has handled commercial documentation on joint ventures and estate distribution. He has also advised on issues relating to land, tenancy law and on law relating to charitable bodies, schools, educational matters and the management of buildings.
Work Experience
Before joining our firm, Mr. Chow worked for three leading local firms for over twenty one years, including fifteen years as a partner. He is an independent non-executive director of several listed companies in Hong Kong, an honorary legal advisor to several religious bodies and charitable foundations, a member of the executive committees of three school sponsoring bodies, a supervisor of two secondary schools and a school manager of a kindergarten and several primary and secondary schools. Mr. Chow received his Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1981. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Laws from the University of Birmingham in 1987. Mr. Chow was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong in 1990.
Mr. Chow is proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
