Mr. Shan Yingzhi specializes in securities and private equity financing and is particularly experienced in domestic and overseas reorganization and listing, venture capital and private equity investment, M&A, and bond issuance, etc.
Mr. Shan has advised a large number of major domestic and overseas enterprises on restructuring, domestic and overseas listings, refinancing and other projects, covering various industries including telecommunications, media, entertainment and high-tech, medical health and pharmaceuticals, education, automobile, financial services, consumer goods and retail, industry and manufacturing, etc.
In addition, Mr. Shan has been involved in large-scale controlling stake acquisitions and minority equity investments in China, Europe, Israel, the United States and other countries and regions in connection with all aspects of the domestic and overseas investment and post-investment management of the funds. Furthermore, he has provided clients with all-round legal services including conducting legal due diligence, designing transaction plans, preparing transaction documents, assisting in information disclosure, providing legal advice, and providing advices on daily fund management.
With the dual experience of working as a lawyer and in-house counsel in law firm and private equity fund respectively, Mr. Shan is adept at identifying the key issues in complex transactions and finding the appropriate solutions for clients from different perspectives of clients and intermediaries by combining different practices of law and business.
Work Experience
Mr. Shan initially joined King & Wood Mallesons ("KWM") in 2010 and has since successively served as an in-house counsel in a private equity fund focusing on global alternative investments and a partner of another well-known law firm before returning to KWM in 2019.
Mr. Shan graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law, and received both his L.L.B and L.L.M from the university.
Mr. Shan is proficient in Chinese and English.
