Ren Xiaolei specializes in M&A, investment and financing, with particular expertise in advising clients from industries such as infrastructure, real estate, and sports.

Mr. Ren is highly experienced in sectors of M&A, investment and financing. He has acted for a number of enterprises and fund companies in many complicated M&A deals and financing projects, covering residential, office, commercial, hotel, warehousing and logistics and industrial properties. With years of practical experience, Xiaolei is able to deliver his clients optimal transaction solutions.

With regard to construction projects, Mr. Ren has provided all-time legal services relating to, among others, investment platform establishment, infrastructure development and investment throughout the process of the projects invested by numerous multinationals in China. Meanwhile, he is one of the initiators of many cross-border projects of countries/regions along the Belt and Road. 

Additionally, Mr. Ren has abundant experience in offshore securitization of domestic assets, assisting domestic enterprises in the overseas issuance and listing of real estate investment trusts (REITs). Mr. Ren is particularly knowledgeable in sports, advising many sports companies and clubs on broadcasting rights procurement, equity transfer and player transfer, etc.

Mr. Ren was awarded among "Rising Stars" in the field of corporate and M&A in the Asia-Pacific region for 2020 by Legal 500.

Work Experience

Ren Xiaolei joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2008.

He graduated from East China University of Politics Science and Law with a master's degree in law. He obtained his professional qualification in 2006 and was admitted to practice law in China in 2009.
In 2018, he obtained the National Sports Agent Qualification (Level 3) and IPSO (International Professional Scouting Organization) Certified Scout (Level 1).

Mr. Ren is proficient in Chinese and English.
